What we source
Three product groups.
- Ores and concentrates. Iron, manganese and chrome ores, bauxite, and copper, zinc and lead concentrates, specified by grade, assay and moisture.
- Base metals. Copper cathode, aluminium, zinc and lead ingots, and nickel, specified by purity, international standard and brand.
- Industrial minerals. Silica sand, gypsum, limestone, barite, bentonite and kaolin, specified by purity and particle size.

Which ores and metals does BGI source?
Ores and concentrates (iron, manganese and chrome ores, bauxite, and copper, zinc and lead concentrates), base metals (copper cathode, aluminium, zinc and lead ingots, and nickel) and industrial minerals (silica sand, gypsum, limestone, barite, bentonite and kaolin). Each is specified by grade, assay or purity and confirmed by independent inspection.
How is the grade of an ore confirmed before shipment?
By independent sampling and assay at loading. The contract sets the parameters, for iron ore for example Fe %, SiO2, Al2O3, P, S, moisture and size, and an inspection company samples and analyses the lot; see iron ore grades, explained.
Can BGI source LME registered copper cathode?
Where the buyer requires it. Copper cathode is specified as Grade A, Cu 99.99%, with an LME-registered brand or an accepted equivalent, in full or cut plates; see copper cathode grades, explained.
What should I include in a request for ore or metal?
The product and grade or full assay specification, the quantity and whether it is a single lot or regular supply, and the packing (bulk, big bags or bags). Add the loading or destination port with your preferred Incoterm, and your inspection and assay requirements.
Is BGI a supplier or a broker?
BGI is a licensed commodity broker in Dubai and does not take title to the goods. We find and screen the other side against international sanctions lists before any introduction, under an NDA, and price, payment and delivery are signed directly between buyer and supplier; see how BGI works.
